Wait no longer, support for GNU Arch is finally here!
We currently are supporting GNU Arch via sftp with support for email commit notifications.
Currently, GNU Arch services are by request only, please request an Arch repository in a support request.
For more information, see http://arch.sv.gnu.org/
Arch is now mirrored at sv.gnu.org (posted by Andy Tai, Tue 03 Jan 2006 07:13:00 PM UTC) |
The sources for GNU Arch itself is now available on the following Arch repository here at savannah:

Thanks very much! (posted by Christian Mauduit, Mon 12 Dec 2005 11:44:32 PM UTC) |
With the help of Michael, I was able to set up Arch depots for all my Savannah projects. Works perfectly, thanks!

Excellent! (posted by Paul D. Smith, Fri 09 Dec 2005 07:48:00 PM UTC) |
Can we get a few more details? I have an existing CVS archive. I would like to (a) keep my CVS and also have an arch repository, for testing purposes, before I switch over, and (b) import all my CVS history into the arch repository.

You can keep both CVS and GNU Arch at once.

I don't myself support Windows, but a large number of people using Windows rely on the GNU toolchain (including GNU make, which I maintain). Since I don't myself have any Windows systems I need to at least ensure that those volunteers have a reasonable way to work on the code. I will discuss the situation with them; I hope that the Savannah project is continuing to investigate supporting alternative SCM tools which provide better portability.

Michael told me he would release more information as soon as he's 200% sure about the security of the setup :) |
