I am trying to compile on Solaris 7 and get the
following error:

mksh: fatal error in reader: = missing from
replacement macro reference

I am using gcc 3.0.3 with binutils installed but as
you can probably guess, I am not a programmer and
although I have an idea what is going wrong, cannot
begin to see what I need to change in the Makefile to
fix this.

I also have automake 1.6 and autoconf 2.53 installed.

If you could point me in the right direction, that
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
