It will be corrected in the next release (I just included the fix). (I think it's not a big issue because nowbody complained in 8 years about this.)

attempting to run storeBackup on a freebsd system which did not have md5sum installed.  Instead of terminating on this error,
a warning was issued and the program continued to execute.

This lack of robustness is very alarming in a backup program.
