The use of "using namespace boost" in manager.hpp seems to lead to name collision on OpenIndiana (SunOS 5.11) using GCC 4.5.1 and Boost 1.48.0. I resolved the issue by adding an additional "using boost::mutex" in the implementations of push and handler.

Added line 252 containing "using boost::mutex"
Added line 298 containing "using boost::mutex"
