Thank you Heinz-Josef. Works!

When trying to get the value really delivered to the program in complicated or unclear situations, use option --print.

Setting in the configuration file eg:
keepRelative =1d 7d 61d 92d
and using option --print writes the following result to stdout:

starting like: -s s -b b --keepRelative '1d 7d 61d 92d' --print
gives the same result.

So both calls are the same.

This also worked for your example
--keepRelative '1d 7d'

I just tested this behaviour with version 3.4.3. But since a long time there were no changes at these points.

(Option --print is just for printing the settings. stops after printing and does not make any backup or something else.)

Hope this helps,

What's the correct syntax with cmdline on keepRelative?

./ --sourceDir / --backupDir /backup -e 'tmp' -e 'proc' -e 'backup' -e 'sys' -e 'dev' -e 'lost+found' --logFile /tmp/storeBackup.log --plusLogStdout --keepRelative ??

I tried: 1d,7d
--keepRelative 1d,7d
--keepRelative '1d 7d'
--keepRelative 1d 7d
