Hello, are you still active on this project?

I found some historical notes from you about how the caching works:
https://sourceforge.net/p/dav/discussion/82589/thread/a5518230/
Not sure if this is still matching the recent design.

When my usual daily workflow is to rsync (actually unison but rsync may have a similar behaviour) about several GB of data, is it a good approach to have the cache being as large as the whole data?
As for data duplication I still can deduplicate the cache on btrfs, which at the end makes the cache being just a COW area for davfs2 before applying changes to my directory tree.

Also on fast links it starts to take longer. I guess it's something about the large cache size. Is it generally useful to have a large cache at all when usually reading a lot of data from the server?

I compared the issue with the same machine on a very fast link, there the issue is not existing. However there is not much data crossing the line.

I usually have the issue on my usual 25MBit/s line at home, which is not fully stretched by the mount process.

Hello,
the mount takes quite long, more than 3 minutes, until the mount location is ready to use.
The WebDAV server is fast.

I'm using davfs2 in combination with unison to sync my local documents against the WebDAV Server as central point from several machines. Local disk space is fast (NVMe) and large so I have set the cache_size to contain almost all data:

minimize_mem    1
cache_size      96000
table_size      131072
delay_upload    2
gui_optimize    1
use_compression 1

I'm also using autofs.
From syslog:

May 04 08:16:00 [automount] attempting to mount entry /mnt/autofs/davfs/hidrive
May 04 08:16:00 [automount] mount(generic): calling mount -t davfs -o rw,uid=4728,gid=4728,dir_mode=0777,file_mode=0666 https://webdav.hidrive.ionos.com/ /mnt/autofs/davfs/hidrive
May 04 08:19:36 [automount] mounted /mnt/autofs/davfs/hidrive

What can I do to improve that? Smaller cache? Bigger cache? Pruning cache?

(Note: upload size limit is set to 16384 kB, after insertion of the required escape characters.)
