I came across this issue when following some articles here and there. I am using a SUSE SLE12 SP5 using with its latest available kernel.

Error received:

> davuser@nfs-server:~> mount /webdav
> /sbin/mount.davfs: program is not setuid root

Permissions:

> davuser@nfs-server:~> ls -ld /usr/sbin/mount.davfs
> -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 131216 Mar 28  2022 /usr/sbin/mount.davfs

Workaround or proper way to fix it?

> davuser@nfs-server:~> sudo chmod u+s /usr/sbin/mount.davfs
> [sudo] password for root:
> davuser@nfs-server:~> ls -ld /usr/sbin/mount.davfs
> -rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 131216 Mar 28  2022 /usr/sbin/mount.davfs
> davuser@nfs-server:~>

Note: su -l <username> did not make any difference.

I am wondering if the permissions of `/usr/sbin/mount.davfs' should be indeed manually changed or if there's something else to be done in terms of configuration. Would you please let me know? Thank you.
