We need a procedure for automating `make-dist' snapshots of the library; I find this preferable to making releases until the library has had significant testing, and adding features necessitates maintaining releases.  As of now there is NO OFFICIAL support for previously released versions, and therefore releases don't make sense.  Weekly builds should be sufficient. Optimally we should set up the snapshot to build only if there were changes during the week.
