Some new changes in this commit: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=weechat.git;a=commit;h=35785a5e053e0ccd4ec36d67f2a374ce1c0673d0
Option renamed to weechat.look.paste_bracketed
Done. New option: "weechat.look.bracketed_paste_mode" (off by default). Changes on option "weechat.look.paste_max_lines": now -1 is used to disable option. With value 0 (in bracketed paste mode), WeeChat will ask confirmation for any paste (even some chars without newline). According to my tests the "bracketed paste mode" works with: - rxvt-unicode terminal - xterm terminal - screen multiplexer According to my tests it currently does not work with: - putty* like (planned, I saw a commit recently) - tmux (planned, commited to cvs)
Update: Bracketed paste mode was added to iTerm2 today (4th September 2011). http://code.google.com/p/iterm2/issues/detail?id=1403
This allows the terminal emulator to inform the application that the user is pasting text into the terminal window. It has been supported by xterm for a long time, and is now also supported by OSX Terminal since OSX Lion. Details here: http://www.xfree86.org/current/ctlseqs.html#Bracketed%20Paste%20Mode
