Wed 12 Oct 2011 05:33:48 PM UTC, original submission:   The match_lines and match_files contain similar code for handling the same semantics over different data structures (lines of text versus characters over a line). Research is needed to see how to factor out this functionality so that it is implemented once. This could be done after the refactoring task. Once these directives are handled by smaller functions, it will likely be easier to merge ones which are similar.	Kaz Kylheku <kkylheku>
