Thanks Boud, this was a good point! It has been added to the Publication checklist (currently on a development branch that will be deleted/rebased later).

An overlapping issue is that we might want to add Software Heritage as a step in the checklist in README-hacking.md
when submitting a project paper for peer review. See

Software Heritage is a service designed for backing up software source code. It is a very interesting solution to use as backups of software tarballs.
