The difficulty with LaTeX macros is that only letters (roman alphabet letters) are allowed in the names, so CamelCase generally has to be used to identify words. Also 'mm' and 'mp' could mean many different things. The general style in Maneage is to have human readable text - 'mm' and 'mp' are not very human readable.

Having 'Maneage' as the prefix for all maneage-specific macros might make sense. They're already rather long, though...

It can be useful all the LaTeX macro names that come from Maneage have a fixed prefix.

For example we can define the following convention:

  • All macros that come from the core Maneage branch (not the 'delete-me' template!) like project version and CPU architecture, start with 'mm' (for "Maneage macro").


  • All macros that come from the high-level (derived) project start with 'mp' (for "Maneaged project").
