I have just updated the licenses, (and also added an implementation of the function in Javascript).

The new tarball was uploaded here: http://savannah.gnu.org/file/curve25519lib-0.4.tar.bz2?file_id=12553

Thank you for notifying the problem.

Michele

Hi,

(I'm replacing tizzef here who got busy with family business :))

The address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update your license notices.

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

Updated versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Regards.

Hello,

the latest upload includes an easy to use test program.  In the next weeks I'll try to add some more documentation on the function, its applications, and the library itself.

I hope you'll have time to review the code.

Thank you in advance,

Michele

Sorry, it took me a while to reply since I didn't get a reply to my submission for a month, and when I tried to come back, the site was unavalaible for some days.

In the meantime a C implementation of the algorithm with the GMP library is ready.  This is still significantly slower than the public domain machine-code implementation, but it should make the function available to more architectures.  I'll try to make mayself acquainted with Savannah and publish the source today.

Thank you for the attention.

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Cheers.

Registration Details

  • Name: Curve25519 library
  • System Name:  curve255lib
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU Lesser General Public License

Description:

The project aim is to provide portable and efficient implementations of the Curve25519 cryptographic function, and eventually variants of the function in the same class.

The function is presented in: http://cr.yp.to/ecdh.html

The only publically available implementation now is non-portable assembly code: http://cr.yp.to/ecdh/curve25519-20050915.tar.gz

There is currently no code for this project yet, apart from an implementation of the function in Perl, which can be ported to C using a math library, like GMP, or with ad-hoc written functions.

The project will also document how to use the function for public key cryptography.

Other Software Required:

GMP
