Thu 16 Feb 2006 11:54:34 PM UTC, original submission:

For a binary file which contains cvs keywords which are not to be changed, the commands:

cvs add -kb file; cvs commit -m "comment" file

correctly does not replace the keywords, but if a non-default version number is used:

cvs add -kb file; cvs commit -m "comment" -r2.1 file

this incorrectly replaces the keywords and changes the keyword substitution mode from b to kv.

Simple example run included in attached file. This failed for cvs 1.11.17 on both Solaris 5.9 and a PC running CYGWIN 1.5.18.
