[space] cycles through the last events. still some war zone indicator that stays/slowly fades out would be fine.

It would be nice if there were arrows that show in which direction your units/buildings are being attacked, if it happens off-screen. Currently you have to manually look for the attacking enemies, which wastes time. (The overview map doesn't show the enemies very well with large maps.)
