couple of other points i noticed. When i record one clip over another, and the edges crossover, it's a bit long winded to adjust fades, first for one clip then the other. Can i suggest a toggle "auto-crossfade" that automatically adds fades for both the overlapped clips, covering the entire area of the cross fade?
so the reasoning is: We toggle crossfade on or off for any overlaps, and that gives the user the option to auto crossfade, or do it manually.
as we're already reliant on the WC being left or right of the centre of the clip, if the WC is on the left of centre, then the toggle crossfades the left side of the clip, and vice versa if the WC is on the right of centre.
