[field #13]                  Summary: Bonds should have mouse-over highlights
[field #14]      Original Submission: I recently used BKChem and there are several features which jumped out as being incredibly useful. One such feature was highlighting bonds when moused over, to tell you the resultant effect of clicking on them at that precise point:

  • Mouse over centre -> bond becomes bold -> clicking cycles double, triple etc.
  • Mouse over ends -> circle appears -> new bond is created or molecule is edited (in atom mode)

This behaviour would greatly aid people using high-resolution screens, or tablets with poor resolution (such as my hp tx1020).

Nice idea, but it will have to wait until Gnome Canvas is replaced.
