OK, I could not reproduce because I did not use the 0.14 version but the development version instead. Attaching a patch.

For the time being, if you need to change the settings, use dconf-editor (with no gchempaint instance loaded, it would crash).

Hi Jean,

It happens just when modifying any of the setting properties. For example, after changing theme, the application closes immediately without waiting for me to close the dialog.

I also don't have any idea of what could be the culprit. I did what I could which is to add a strace information.

Does this happen when you close the dialog? Or just when changing the theme?

Using Slackware64-current and gchemutils 0.14.16.

When modifying gchempaint's preferences (e.g., by changing themes), the program aborts and closes. However, the preference gets saved.
