The cache system is horrible...

See the uploaded file for a sane solution, which doesn't keep the lock while doing the "yield" work.

This also fixed the "killed thread" message for me.

Sorry that I didn't get you a diff, but I won't use CVS.
Get a real VCS... and PLEASE don't mix tabs and spaces.
