I legally changed my name from James Scott Edwards to Rachel Edwards in 2015. I've been happily living full time as a woman for over 3 years now.
I'm still finding places where my "dead" name is still being used and this is one. I decided that it was easier to add my new self as an additional Admin rather than trying to change my old username.

I have been making changes to the code to allow the storage to be on a remote machine. I have done some tests and it appears to work.
I am going to create a Subversion branch to check in the code. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I have been thinking about this for years and I am very excited to see it working.

This is mostly a bug fix release, although I added some new options to a couple of apps. Please read the RELEASE_NOTES file for the details.
The biggest change is that I created some Debian packages for this release. They can be downloaded from the "packages" subdirectory:

I posted a new set of Public Objects last night. I added all (I believe) of the files for Ubuntu GNU/Linux releases 10.04.3, 11.04, and 11.10. Fedora GNU/Linux releases 8 and 9. I also added the Ubuntu Rescue Remix files.
For the first time I have added some persons to the Public Objects.

Wow, I had no idea that it had been over a year since the last release. The last year has been quite the roller coaster ride.
Anyway, this was mostly a bug fix release. I added --ignore-path and --ignore-case options to file-verify. I also changed it so that it sorts the reference lists to speed up operations when there are large quantities of files stored.

I completely forgot to release this update to the Public Objects from last May. I'm doing it now for completeness as I intend to release another update in the next few days.

Unfortunately the data center in L.A. where my server was located was closed on 30-Jan-2011. So the following web pages are currently down:
worldwide-database.org
qrwsoftware.com
Since it needed to be updated, I decided to do that before starting it up again. Hopefully, it will be on the air again in the next couple of weeks.
I do have to say how amazing that old machine running GNU/Linux was, one time it stayed up for over 3 years without a reboot.

I believe I have replicated the Subversion check-ins that were lost when Savannah was compromised: http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/Compromise2010 as closely as possible.

Unfortunately, when this site was hacked back in November: https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=6624
I had made some check ins to Subversion on the 25th and forgot to rsync my back up copy (my last rsync was on the 16th). So those changes were lost in Subversion. I still have the files so I should be able to check them in a again, but it will take a little time to figure it out.

Oops, I forgot to post this news last week. In this update I added CentOS 4.0 and 5.0 releases, Fedora 2, 3, and 4, and all of the Dynebolic releases I could find. The last Dynebolic release appears to have been almost three years ago, so it may be inactive. [...]
