From https://ccvs.cvshome.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=160:
i would like to see a global cvs option where it
is possible to tell the cvs to generate xml outputs.
it could be a general option that all commands
(log, annotate, update ... ) should support.
today it is not a bulletproof solution to parse
the output as a normal text because what if the
delimeter strings used are part of messages for
example.
with the xml output we could have a clearly
distinguished data structure that could be easy to
parse, evaluate (work with) for scripts with the
currect (standard) xml techniques and tools.
