I've had no trouble doing the build on RH 8.0 at the current
patch level as of right now.

This is not to say Plex86 works :)

I'm having difficultites getting even Linux to run as a guest,

I've heard about there being problems int RH 8.0's
libraries.  Try checking for stable versions and using
those.....

Here's the error I get when trying to build.
