I seem to be having a problem with the CD Burning feature. I tried to register on the Traverso Support Forum but kept getting an error message. As such, I am attempting to get an answer here. Sorry in advance if this is not the proper channel, but because of my problems registering for the forum, there seems to be no other form of tech support for this wonderful program.
I am running Windows XP SP3 & Traverso 0.49.1. The problem I am having is that when I go to burn a CD, no CD actually gets burnt. The program renders out the WAV & TOC files fine (I have tried exporting them alone & that works). But burning to actual CD does not seem to work.
Now I read the user manual regarding CD burning to see if I was missing something and it talks about a Linux CD burning program that functions as the backend of this feature. According to the manual, this program is automatically installed with the Windows Installer - so I am assuming everything is right on this front.
But here is what I think the problem is: in the CD burning window there is a drop down box where you may select your CD burning device. I happen to have a DVD-ROM (not a burner) as well as a CD-Burner installed on my system. Now, in other CD burning programs, this sort of drop down box usually displays the drive letters of my system's CD drives - or perhaps even the actual hardware name or driver. But in Traverso's drop down box I get:
:, (1,0,0)
:, (1,1,0)
I have attempted to burn to both devices - but it seems to me Traverso is not detecting my CD & DVD devices properly.
Is anyone else encountering this problem? Does anyone know a solution?
This is really frustrating because I had finally found a great DAW for Mastering (tho, I think I might suggest a few features to be developed in newer versions). I am at the final stage of Mastering an album & unless I can find a way for Traverso to actually burn the album - or export individual tracks as I have marked them in my Sheet so I can burn them in another program - I may have to start my Mastering process over again with other software.
Any help you or anyone can provide in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance,
Candle
