On Windows 7 x64 the installer prompts you to place rdiff backup in the wrong folder, and thus the installer is stuck in an endless loop as it cannot locate rdiff.  The proper folder should be C:\Windows\SysWOW64 if your process is a 32bit process.

It opens the C:\Windows\System32 folder when prompting for install, but I assume that when it verifies the existence of rdiff then it is being redirected to C:\Windows\SysWOW64.  So it is installed to one place, but looked for in another.

Ensure that the process that opens the folder, and the process that checks for the file, are both 32bit to ensure they are consistently redirected to SysWOW64, as that might explain the inconsistency.  It might also be a case of using a different variable/wildcard name for the system folder in one place but no the other.  I can only speculate.  Good luck and thanks.

Workaround: manually copy rdiff from the System32 folder to the SysWOW64 folder.
