Hi,

can you try to check were the origin of the problem can be found?

1. Change the filename Leistungsübersicht to ASCII, eg. Leistungsuebersicht and try to backup again.

2. Run the backup (on part of the backup, but including that file) to a local directory on the ubuntu box for testing. Does this work?

Unfortunately, my old Sparc 1 is dead for a long time now, so I cannot reproduce your situation :-/ . Locally on Linux, I do not have any problem with Umlauts (also just tested with a file called "Leistungsübersicht").

Hi, I am running the latest version of storeBackup on Ubuntu 12.04, writing to an sshfs mounted share on a Solaris server.
The backup always errors on one file which has been uploaded through a web-interface and is named something like "Lietsungsübersicht".

The Backup log on Solaris says:
ERROR ... /mnt/..../Leistung.bersicht was not created (2)

On the Ubuntu server, each backup run leaves the following stalled process:
/usr/bin/perl /opt/storeBackup/lib/stbuMd5Exec.pl bzip2 /storeBackup/www/Leistungs?bersicht /tmp/storeBackup-md5.....

What can I do to resolve the issue?

Running "convmv -f WINDOWS-1252 -t UTF-8 Leistungs?bersicht" reveals the correct filename.
