We have to write an installation configuration that treat (at least) the following subjects :
- where to get the source, the source packages, and the binary packages;
- Supported platforms;
- Prerequisites to make dms work (gcc versions used on compiler servers, headers and libraries the different entities;
- tar.gz, rpm and debian packages installation;
- what is the default configuration;
- how to change the default configuration to suit the users needs;
- uninstall procedure
- troubleshooting
- faq
