We need a "Contest Copyright" form so people can inform us about materials that have incorrect Copyright or licensing information.
Attached is a HTML "scribble version" of the form, which needs to be dynamically built based on the page that a user was viewing.
The list of materials needs to include all elements that were displayed on the page when the user clicked on "Contest Copyright" and needs to list some information for each of the elements, in particular
Name/Title
Copyright
License
Submitter (of material)
History (has this been contested before? When? What was the outcome?)
The user then needs to be able to select all the materials they think are incorrectly labeled regarding Copyright and license information.
Step 2 is a text form in which the user should describe what is wrong, e.g. "This was written by me" including a reference to document this. [mandatory]
Step 3 is is a resolution proposal. The user tells us what they think we SHOULD be doing with this. [mandatory]
Step 4 is a contact address for the user for updates and for potential questions that might arise during the check. The field can be left away for logged-in users, in which case their registered email address will be used. [mandatory]
Step 5 is a captcha to avoid spam
Step 6 is to click "Submit" after realising that this may end up getting the selected materials blocked.
Upon submission, the form should
a) Send a summary of the request to the email address the user registered, so the user has confirmation this was actually filed.
b) Send the summary of the contest to -unavailable- with the subject: "[DATE] Copyright contest by <userid/email>"
and show a page with "Your submission has been successfully filed. You should receive a copy in your email and the Legal Experts Group should get back to you shortly. Thank you for your helping us make sure that SELF is legally reliable."
