Fri 27 Aug 2010 10:41:07 PM UTC, original submission:

I keep my Maemo dev environment in a separate VM, which I run with VirtualBox. In my search for a tool that will help me replay GUI tests I came across swinput (after Xnee - doesn't build/record (after PyUseCase)).
Version 0.7.4 works well outside of VirtualBox, which is a standard Ubuntu 10.4 installation.
Inside VirtualBox I run Ubuntu 8.10 (swinput reports building against linux-headers-2.6.17-16-generic).

I actually have two questions/issues and it's too late for me to file two bug reports/requests:

a) the readme file doesn't mention simulating mouse down/up events - is this not supported?

b) echo "u 100" > /dev/swmouse0
works fine outside VirtualBox, but nothing happens inside.

(and c: "make try" tries to use /dev/swmouse (without trailing 0))

Thanks in advance! :)
