I would like to use the interactive federate to study the behavior of the Next Message Request Available in different situations.

For this purpose, I've modified test/InteractiveFederate/1516-2010/Interactive_Federate1516-2010.cc to allow for NMRAs.The code is available on branch br_dev_cmichel.

When monitoring both the RTIA and the RTIG through PrettyDebug and Wireshark, I can see that messages are sent back and forth between the two entities while invoking both TAR and NMR.

However, when invoking the NMRA, the federate does not go in time advancing state and can request a new time advance without waiting for a TAG.

From a network point of view, no messages are exchanged between the RTIG and the RTIA.
I used

export GENDOC=G
export LIBRTI=D
export RTIA_TM=D

to generate the attached logfile showing what happens for the NMRA request. In said logfile, the LibRTI states that a message have been sent and an answer have been received, yet the RTIG didn't sent (or received) anything.
