Other projects use too such 'empty' images. For example, you can see it at the bottom of this page: http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/blogs/gnu_linux_neither

If nobody disagree, I propose close this task.

I think it would be good getting the Victor's opinion about it:

I remember something like that when I did some testing, some years ago:

  • PNG transparent images are not supported on IE 6.0. I think

   it renders a blank image.

  • On IE 6.0, the colour chosen by the browser to show a PNG

image created exactly with the same colour than the
background is a little different to the colour chosen for
   the background of the image.

I think we have at least two possibilities:

1. Leave the pages, with the default image, as it is now.

2. Do not show the default images. This way the
View Qualification and the View JobOffer will need
to fill the hole. I think an is not enough
to fill he hole in such cases. Maybe setting the
'width' of such 'td' ... but I am not sure.

P.S.: I am not sure about the importance of such "visual noise". What I am sure is that others proprietary, and very very active job sites, are using similar default images since more than a year ago. If we are not sure, I think we should leave it as it is now.

We could always use a default "fake" image: an image, the same size of the actual default, that is transparent or the same colour of the background. Just to keep things aligned altogether. ;-)

Just MTC.

Let think a bit more about this.
