This message is confusing. It is only about large file support on 32 bit systems that don't support large files automatically. It has no meaning on 64 bit systems.

You don't need to do anything. On 32 bit systems: when Neon supports large files than davfs2 will enable large file support automatically.

Maybe I should remove this message alltogether or at least I should make the message more clear.
