GSequencer stable

Item posted by Joël Krähemann <jkraehemann> on Tue 18 Apr 2017 03:07:16 PM UTC.

The project stage has been changed from beta to stable. Now, it is time to work on version 1.0.

The Next Milestone

Giving you the ability to do remote control and scripting seems to be the major goal. There many thoughts and ideas to fulfill. But first the basics must be done. Like authentication and encrypted connection.

XMLRPC as back-end

Yay, remote procedure call controlling a real-time sequencer sounds odd. And I like this idea. The foundations to provide a useful service are given. You can process audio data. But if you look at the layers of GSequencer libags_thread.so is going to be shipped with Advanced Gtk+ Sequencer base library.

This means it has no relation to audio processing at all. Rather doing a abstraction capable of creating and invoking classes.

May be there will be a streaming API but that is not for sure.

More unit-tests

We have a need for more and better tests. Them shall guarantee working core functionality.
