HTTP is stateless. There is no session.
What may be a feature in your case would be a waste of bandwidth in most other cases.
If you want to ping your server just do some file system operation.

Cheers

"Why should it when nobody wants to know. "

I wish server knows, the session is active or not.

I know it is not in DAV specification, but it feature need for me.

This way on my mind

man davfs2.conf:
dir_refresh
After mount.davfs has got information about files in a directory
it considers it valid for this time in seconds. Note: This  does
not affect opening of files and reading a directory by an appli‐
    cation.
    Default: 60

file_refresh
When  a  file  or  directory  is  opened  by   an   application,
mount.davfs will first check the server for a newer version. But
some applications do open  calls  on  the  same  file  in  short
sequence. To avoid unecessary traffic mount.davfs will wait that
many seconds before it send a new request for the same  informa‐
    tion.
    Default: 1

"I wish my mounted dav folder automatically refresh each time interval."
Why should it when nobody wants to know.
davfs2 will only fetch information from the server when the information is needed to satisfy a file system request.

Cheers
Werner

Hello!

As I understand, with dir_refresh davfs will updates each time as I set.

So, my scenario:
1 - mount dav storage (Apache mod_dav)
2 - Open mounted drive, see my dav folder content
3 - Open apache access log on server (tail -f)
4 - waiting for PROPFIND request...

Nothing.

davfs send PROPFIND requests at mount time, and no one while I waiting, why?

Bug? or I am wrong with understanding?

How can I configure this? I wish my mounted dav folder automatically refresh each time interval.

from config:
...
dir_refresh     14
file_refresh    1
...

Dmitry
