Thank you for the information and for caring about the issue which lead to fixing the bug in util_linux.

davfs2 at some point must check whether the user is member of the dav_group which usually is not the primary group of the user. So dropping the suplementary groups by util-linux was a bad idea and broke the definition of some C-functions.

This issue doesn't seem to be isolated to mount.davfs. Eg mount.sshfs does nothing on 2.37.1. It doesn't print any output, return any errors, or mount any filesystems.

(Sorry for those quote comments, that was me trying to understand the savannah UI.)
