In attachment (a draft of) an example on how to store/read back the camera settings (including canvas size) using a human readable & human writable file. It could be interesting to have a functionality in pyFormex to recreate specific views/images/cuts.
In the current example the camera/canvas size are in a dictionary and stored inside a JSON file.
TODO:
- create a JSON plugin in pyFormex
- add functions to get camera+canvasSize, write camera+canvasSize, read camera+canvasSize, apply camera+canvasSize

(file #35397)

Nice to have: camera settings (focus, eye, upvector, bbox, near/far clipping) saved in a file (e.g. a pgf). This could be:
- only one single camera: it could be loaded by pyFormex and it should appear next to the standard camera's as user-defined camera (and it should probably have a name). After loading the camera should change to the new camera. We could use the name.pgf to give the camera a name.
- one single camera + other geometries in the same pgf.
