The triangles in the default Axes Triade are transparent from the back. That makes it difficult to correctly interprete the axes orientation. See the attached images, showing two different orientations of the Triade plus the same geometry drawn with:

In axes1.png, all three triangles are shown from the front and correctly rendered in the triade (lower left). In axes2.png however, the blue triangle is seen from the back and invisible
in the triade.
