Sounds reasonable. I will think about it.
For now I have made the fuse argument propagate from Model to FEModel (in a4a5f64e).

But you can just do

FeModel([Mesh(coords,e) for e in elems], fuse=False)

This is simple and clear and would avoid having to support more arguments in FeModel.

Model is deprecated.
Model allows you to start from coords and list of elems:
Model(coords, [elems0,elems1,...]).

Whereas FEModel needs to start from list of meshes and then use the mergeMeshes.
        nnodes = [m.nnodes() for m in meshes]
        nelems = [m.nelems() for m in meshes]
        nplex = [m.nplex() for m in meshes]
        coords, elems = mergeMeshes(meshes, fuse=fuse, **kargs)

This is not good for me, because I want to keep control of the order of the coords inside the FEModel and sometimes I like to have identical nodes fused and not fused in the same FEModel.

Can we add a different initialization of FEModel from coords and [elems]?
