Hi,

I have found the problem, looks like the several particular emails that were not scanned were bigger then 250k , which is the default for spamc to pass to spamd, i increased to 512kb, and will check if it happends again.

Thanks.
Marco.

This is not a problem with the netblock check, the email passes the netblock test, and doesnt say "hit!", and is just delivered after that,

just an update, this is the command line i use :
/usr/local/bin/spamass-milter -p /var/spool/spamass/spamass.sock -f -i 62.90.92.120/28,192.168.0.0/16 -- -d spamass -fu nobody

I will add the debug flags and let you know.

Try adding "-d net, misc" to the spamass-milter commandline.  This will add a couple of debugging lines per message, including processing of the -i networks.  I want to see whether there's a bug in the netblock checks that's letting those mesages through.

(and that's a capital -D in your current milter commandline, right?)

example :
Aug 24 20:13:02 ftp sendmail[12769]: i7OHCdmj012769: from=<htc@ndr.hi-tech.co.il>, size=290998, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<PUBLISH5jgGKThp900F000409d9@publish.publish1.hi-tech.co.il>, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=[212.150.76.8]
Aug 24 20:13:03 ftp sendmail[12785]: i7OHCdmj012769: to=marco@mailhost.sd.com, delay=00:00:16, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=esmtp, pri=321183, relay=mailhost.sd.com. [62.90.92.118], dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent (Ok)

This email was supposed to be passed to spamc for checking, and it was just delivered,

the options spamass-milter recives for startup are:
spamass-milter -d spamass -fu nobody -f -i 62.90.92.120/28,192.168.0.0/16

Sendmail 8.13.1 , latest spamass-milter, spamassasin 2.63, on on Solaris 2.6, spamd on Solaris 8,
some emails (very few each day) are not passed to Spamc, although they should, i see in the sendmail log that the email was just delivered to the next machine, without passing through the milter, the same email at other times will pass the through the milter.
